Article 1
These measures are promulgated according to Item 2 of Article 35
in the Handicapped Protection Law.
Article 2
The applicants who meet the following requirements may apply for
rewards:
1.Institutions (enterprises) which obligatorily hire handicapped workers, and
the proportion of such employment is over 5% of the total workers.
2.Institutions (enterprises) non-obligatorily hire handicapped workers, whose
number is over five persons.
Those who violate the rules stipulated in Article 4 of this Law, and such
violation is proved true by the Handicapped Protection Committee, shall not be
rewarded.
The base day of the computation of the number of the handicapped workers, is
June 30 of each year.
Article 3
The outstanding institutions (enterprises) which obligatorilyy and
non-obligatorily hire the handicapped shall be evaluated separately, the
evaluation standards should be based the standard value derived from the
multiplication result of the “proportion in percentage of the handicapped
employees” and
the “average seniority of the handicapped employees”.
The employment provided for the gravely handicapped person, one peron will
be computed as two.
Article 4
The outstanding institutions (enterprises) which obligatory and
non-obligatorily hire the handicapped, with the evaluation standard value
exceeds 0.1, will be rewarded according to the following methds:
1.Excellency reward: whose standard value is listed from No. 1 to No. 10,
will be given a gold plate.
2.First Prize: whose standard value is listed from No. 11 to No. 25, will
be given a silver plate.
3.Second Prize: whose standard value is listed from No. 26 to No. 50, will be
given a bronze plate.
4.Third Prize: whose standard value is listed from No. 51 to No. 100, will be
given a recognition diploma.
Those who have the same evaluation standard value will be awarded according to
the quantity of the handicapped workers employed, when the quantity is the
same, will be evaluated according to the seniority of their employment.
Those with the evaluation standard value exceeding 0.1 but not rewarded in the
item 1, will be awarded by the city or county’s competent labor institutions.
Article 5
The outstanding institutions (enterprises) which have been awarded
for five times in accumulation, will be awarded a Third Class Plate; those
with ten times in accumulation, will be awarded a Second Class Plate; those
with 15 times in accumulation, will be given a First Class Plate.
Article 6
The institutions (enterprises) which hire handicapped workers can
submit the reward application, along with the following documents, to the
local city and county government, from October 1 to 31 every year:
1.Reward application form submitted by the outstanding institutions (
enterprises) which hire the handicapped workers.
2.List of the handicapped workers employed and their work seniority.
3.All the related documents required by the Council of Labor Affairs of the
Excecutive Yuan for evaluation.
Article 7
The application of the aforementioned rewards shall be revised by
each city and county government, then submitted to the Council of Labor
Affairs of the Excecutive Yuan for evaluation.
Article 8
The rewarded outstanding institutions (enterprises) which employ
handicapped workers shall be announced and recognized publicly.
Article 9
These measures shall take effect on the day of promulgation.
